Sue
DeLaune, MN, RN, BC
Sue earned a Bachelor of Science
in Nursing from Northwestern State University, and a Master’s
degree in Nursing from Louisiana State University Medical Center.
She is Board Certified in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing by
the ANA American Nurses Credentialing Center. Sue has taught nursing
in diploma, associate degree, and baccalaureate schools of nursing,
as well as in RN-degree completion programs. With 30 plus years
experience as a clinician, administrator, and educator, Sue has
taught fundamentals of nursing, psychiatric/mental health nursing,
nursing leadership and research, and nursing ethics courses. She
also presents seminars and workshops that help nurses to maintain
competency in the areas of communication, leadership and teambuilding
skills, client education, and stress management.
Currently, Sue is President and Education Director of S DeLaune
Consulting, an independent continuing education business based
in Mandeville, Louisiana. Sue is also Assistant Professor of Nursing
at William Carey University and the revision of her textbook, Fundamentals
of Nursing: Standards and Practice, was published in 2006.

Cora
C. Munoz , Ph.D., RN
Dr. Cora Munoz is presently a professor at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
She taught Nursing at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in New
York City and at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. She is a known national
and international speaker and has published in the area of Transcultural Nursing,
Culture and Health and Ethnopharmacology. She has recently published a book on "Transcultural
Communication in Nursing" published by Thomson Delmar Publishing. She is
a national trainer for health care professionals on Cultural Competence and Transcultural
Nursing. Dr. Munoz completed her BSN degree from St. Paul's University in the
Philippines and her Master in Nursing Education from Columbia University in New
York City. Her Doctorate in Counselor Education is from the Ohio State University. |

Rick
Daniels, Ph.D., COL, RN
Dr. Daniels obtained a Bachelor of Science
in Nursing from the University of Oregon
Nursing School, Portland, Oregon, a Master
of Science in Nursing from the University
of San Diego, California, and a Ph.D. in
Nursing from the University of Texas in
Austin.
He has taught
nursing in associate, baccalaureate and graduate schools of nursing,
as well as RN degree completion programs. Dr. Daniels has taught
fundamentals of nursing, medical/surgical nursing, pharmacology,
and research in a variety of programs. In addition, he teaches
pathophysiology via distance learning and traditional classroom
settings. He has also taught many adult
health and illness topics at seminars |
and
has presented posters for national organizations (e.g., AORN, NLN
Educators Conference). Dr. Daniels administers clinical practicum
courses in critical care and perioperative nursing arenas.
Dr. Daniels’ clinical practice is kept current by practicing nursing as
a Colonel in the Oregon Army National Guard. He is also serving as the Deputy
State Commander of Oregon under the supervision of the Oregon State Surgeon.
Dr. Daniels’ research is primarily associated with the concept of health
promotion and he has received three successive fundings with the Department of
the Army to implement health promotion programs with National Guardsmen. In addition,
Dr. Daniels publishes in nursing journals and authors nursing textbooks. He has
membership in a number of professional nursing organizations; such as Sigma Theta
Tau and the American Nurses Association. Dr. Daniels is currently an associate
professor with tenure at Oregon Health & Sciences University, School of Nursing. |
