Thank you for adopting the custom edition of Kalat’s Introduction to Psychology, 8/e for your course at University of California, Berkeley.

Your selection of a Wadsworth Cengage Learning textbook is an important commitment for you and your students as well as for me.  You can rely on us to provide the following services beyond your initial book order:

  • Wadsworth Cengage Learning will supply adequate desk copies to supply your students’ textbook needs.
  • I will visit your department at least once each term to collect feedback on our product and make sure that you have the ancillaries and other support materials that you need.

I. Faculty Training Workshops of Multimedia Products

A. On-Campus Presentations

In special situations, we can bring an expert consultant or the author to your campus for individual instruction on any of these multimedia components.  In addition, our consultants can be a guest lecturer in explaining to students how to improve test scores using our technology components, assist in training teaching assistants, or meet with faculty and TA’s for a general discussion of how to best match your course objectives with our textbook.

  • Student training for registration to online study guide and personalized study plan, CengageNOW
  • Instructor training for CengageNOW
  • Any technology training upon request

B. Web-Based Training Service

To assist the faculty in learning how to use the new multimedia and online services for this textbook, we commit to providing year-round training sessions via online workshops.  These training sessions are lead by expert consultants and provide hands on instruction for using the following media components.

III. Electronic Testing Services


I will also provide the following quantities of ExamView Computerized Testing program, data , and documentation:

For your convenience, we will also provide a complimentary “telephone testing” service through the Cengage Academic Resource Center at 1-800-423-0563.  With 48-hours notice, we will construct a test and fax it to the instructor.
